There are a lot of things that are frustrating and make no sense. Sometimes we are confused, other times we are ignorant, and sometimes we are neither rather we are just frustrated.

Though the joys far outweigh them, I think those are things that we experience and feel a lot in ministry.

For example; one might wonder why a minister/elder/deacon/secretary/volunteer/etc in a church can exhibit a constant bad attitude with no consequence, but upon committing some kind of "more serious" sin such getting caught up in pornography, getting too friendly with alcohol can be relieved from their ministry or position with haste.

What I want to do is give you an opportunity to vent about what it is about ministry/church/faith/christianity/etc that frustrates you, confuses you, makes no sense to you, or just hurts your heart. We will do this anonymously.

So here are the rules...
1) Leave a comment that vents your biggest frustration, confusion, or hurt with the topics mentioned above.
2) Leave it anonymously (sign out of your blogger account). If you leave a name or account link, your comment will be deleted.

Go!

I get tired of the people who think you as a brother in Christ have absolutely NO RIGHT to correct them when they are wrong. We have this idea of a personal relationship with Jesus and nobody else idea. THATS FALSE. Jesus saved us INTO A FAMILY and we are members of ONE ANOTHER as 1st Corinthians says. I want to get closer to these people. I want to rejoice when they succeed in their spiritual life, i want to weep when they forsake the Church instead of just saying "oh who was that and why did they leave? Oh well". I want the bond with my fellow Christians that is closer than any other relationship in the world. But to do that people, including myself, have to be willing to get hurt by others more often than not and we just arent willing to take that risk and that makes me sad.

I have such a hard time with people who call themselves Christians turning their backs and starting and participating in such vicious gossip about others, especially fellow Christians. I can not imagine why you would want to hurt someone, b/c that is certainly not a trait that the Bible encourages.

Also with Christians whose pride and "point proving" allow them to become consumed with things that are so ridiculous, just to try to say they "won" a point or argument.

I have been a Christian for over 20years and have really been turned off by alot of actions by members of a congregation of which I loved and loved serving in for so many years. It is no wonder that so many people are leaving. You cant win people over with "events" "missions trips" and all these fabulous glamerous things. You have to lift up and feed your own flock...

I dislike how people think that Ministers do not go through the same struggles as 'normal' people and that they do not know the 'real' world as those who do not minister just because they spend more time in the Word for teaching and witnessing.

I get frustrated when people judge ministers simply because they are ministers. I know friends that cannot carry on a normal conversation with old friends simply because they believe that the ministers will judge them for doing something wrong. It just seems liek becoming a minister makes a person high above everyone else and therefore he or she must change everything and never live a normal life again.

i am sad and embarrassed that church acts the way it does. church should not be a place where people gossip about each other, back stab each other, think more highly of themselves, unmotivated to get to know each other, have no regard for others in church, just come to church on sundays and then call themselves Christians, only looks at numbers and dollars, only cares about what the building looks like. no wonder the lost stay lost. the church does not look like anything special and it looks just like the rest of the world. i would not want to send a new believer in Christ to church because with all the "drama" that happens at church how would they get spiritually nourished. its sad to see the church this way because i love the church. the church is the body of Christ, but the Christians in the church dont live up to this. its very sad indeed. i want to see a church that embraces the new christian with love. that helps the new christian to grow not only spiritually, but is shown that serving and fellowship are just as important. serving side by side with fellow Christians without the backstabbing, ridicule and gossiping. where Christians of all races, cultures, classes, are joined together for one common cause- to share the love of Christ with each other and the community, and the world, without man made policies and procedures and bylaws, etc...

I am a christian, and I hate christians. Not allm but the vast majority that I have come into contact with. The lies, the gossip, cheating, fakeness....it all drives a person mad and away from the church. I hate what a christian relationship has become, the propoganda and those christians who believe pickiting, yelling, cursing others and being violently ill towards those who don't believe what they do. What ever happened to the basic rule of being a christian?? What happened to love others like you love yourself?
